Under Nguyen Dynasty, the Kings had ordered to build ramparts, palaces and constructional works for royal. Over 200 years to now, it is still original with nearly 140 small and large constructions. Take a boat ride on the Perfume River and visit some of the more interesting sites of Hue– Thien Mu Pagoda and the tombs of Minh Mang, Khai Dinh & Tu Duc
Thien Mu Pagoda- perched on a bluff over the river and housing some very fine gold and silver Buddha images. The Thien Mu Pagoda overlooks the Perfume River and is the official symbol of the city of Hue. Thien Mu means "elderly celestial woman", and refersto an old legend about the founding of the pagoda
Tomb of Minh Mang- in this opulent complex, the main buildings are arranged on an east-west axis, including a courtyard surrounded by warrior statues and several temples and pavilions. Several bridges cross two lakes before the axis ends before the vast burial mound (which is circled by a fence). The mausoleum features large gardens and lakes: a pleasant place to sit and relax.
In the afternoon you continue to visit the tombs of King Tu Duc and King Khai Dinh. The monuments were designed by the kings themselves and used as holiday retreats during their lifetime.
Tomb of Khai Dinh- dating from 1925, this is the best preserved of the lot and, while comparatively compact, quite grand at first sight. While it follows the classic formula of forecourts leading up to the tomb of the Emperor, complete with statues in attendance, architecture buffs will spot some European influences. The tomb itself is completely over the top with incredibly detailed and opulent mosaics of cavorting dragons.
Tomb of Tu Duc- Constructed from 1864 to 1867, the complex served as a second Imperial City where the Emperor went for "working vacations". Tu Duc's contemplative nature and poetic spirit is reflected in the landscape and arrangement of the 50 buildings that at one time stood here. A vast, sprawling complex set around a lake, with wooden pavilions and tombs and temples dedicated to wives and favored courtesans (Tu Duc had 104 to choose from). The courtesans' quarters are in ruins, with only outlines and crumbling walls left amid waves of overgrown grass and silence, but other areas are stunningly well-preserved. The Emperor's tomb itself, tucked away in the back, is surprisingly modest- the final courtyard is nearly empty with just a stone coffin in the middle.
Have lunch & dinner at local restaurant.

Day 7: HUE - DA NANG - HOI AN (B, L, D)
Transfer to Hoi An (145km). Admire beautiful landscapes on the way to Hai Van Pass. Panoramic views of the clouds, the sea and the surrounding mountains unfold from the summit. Visit Marble Mountain and the Cham museum in Da Nang before arriving in Hoi An.
On arrival, visit the World Heritage sites in Hoi An. From the 16th to 18th centuries, Hoi An was a thriving international commercial port for Chinese, Dutch, French, Japanese, Portuguese and Arab traders. These people came primarily to trade ceramics and high-grade silk, which is still produced in the area. Today, Hoi An is a quaint riverside town, popular with tourists for its eclectic architecture, tailor shops, and numerous cafes. Some of the buildings in the narrow streets have remained unchanged for more than a century. We spend a half-day walking through the narrow winding streets of the ancient quarter visiting Chua Ong Pagoda, Chinese Assembly Halls, the 200-year-old Tam Ky ancestral house, and the Japanese Bridge.
