FAQ
FAQ
All the answers to your questions!

1 – Practical issues

1 - Is the star level between Indochina and Europe similar?
For 5-star hotels, the quality corresponds to that of 4-star hotels in Europe. For hotels 3 stars and less, the quality is very variable. So, we offer in each category the best hotels in which the quality is almost equivalent to the hotels of Europe

2 - How will we stay at the inhabitant?
Homestay accommodation is an opportunity to immerse yourself in the daily life of the local population. You will therefore sleep "like the locals", but in improved conditions: sheets, toilets with hot water outside, mosquito nets ... However, these are basic comforts.

3 - Questions about the guide
The accompaniment of a good guide is the guarantee of success for a trip, because the local inhabitants speak very little English and even less French. The guide opens the doors of our cultures. We collaborate with the best local francophone guides: knowing their country, history and culture, we can certify their competence and their friendliness.

The guide and the driver will accompany you throughout your trip, and this from the day of your arrival, except free days mentioned in the program. In each region, a local guide will take care of you (guide of the North, guide of the Center, guide of the South ....).

Warning ! During the so-called high season months, especially November and March, it is sometimes very difficult to find good guides if your trip is booked late.

4 - Do I have to report it to Mandarin Road if I take medical treatment?
Vietnamese legislation is strict on the transport of certain pharmaceutical products whose distribution on site is ensured by the State. Convictions have recently been handed down for people carrying boxes of Lexomil and Myolastan tablets.

It is advisable for travelers following antidepressant treatment to systematically keep the prescription of the prescribing doctor, with the necessary doses for the duration of their stay.

A circular from the Ministry of Health dated January 2007 develops, by list, the conditions for the non-commercial importation of drugs in Vietnam. This circular has been placed under the heading "Information for travelers coming to Vietnam" on the website of the French Embassy.

5 - Should I report it if I have an allergy?
Yes, so that we can adapt the details of your tour / meals.

6 - Who can I contact in case of problems during my stay?
You can contact Mr. Duong, the director of our agency, by calling 0084985836266

Your trip must be paid one month before your departure.

4 - Is there a deposit?

Please ensure that this insurance also covers your repatriation costs in case of serious problems. Although there are some world-class medical clinics in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, there is still a lack of advanced medical care facilities outside of these two major cities. It is recommended that you purchase travel insurance that covers medical expenses in an emergency and gives you access to a wide range of medical and travel services around the world.

6 - Is travel insurance included in your rates?
No, it is not included for the following reasons:
  • We believe that the services of insurers in your country are better than in Vietnam.

  • On the other hand, Mandarin Road Voyages undertakes to give you the necessary assistance in the event of the occurrence of events giving rise to compensation by the insurer.
