  • Day 1
    Arrival in Kunming. Night train to Dali
    (1 hour of road. Altitude : 1800m)
    Arrival at mid-day in Kunming. Welcome by your french speaking guide, and then transfer to the New Era 4* hotel, well located in the city center of Kunming.
    In the afternoon, you will visit the Yuantong temple, most ancient buddhist temple of Kunming, and then by foot until the Emerald lake, where the locals love to gather with each other to sing, dance and play some music.
    Welcome dinner at the excellent Laofangzi restaurant located in a beautiful traditional Chinese residence in the old neighborhood of Kunming before the transfer to Kunming’s station for the night train towards Dali. Night spent in the train in a soft sleeping compartment.

  • Day 2
    Dali - Xizhou
    (1h30 of road. Altitude : 1900m)
    Meeting with your new guide and driver at your arrival in Dali’s train station. Transfer to the old town of Dali, and it’s small still quiet streets, to have breakfast. Stroll by foot through the old town of dali, and then transfer to the pleasant Zhoucheng village. Walk through its old streets to meet its inhabitants (learn more about the process of dyeing batik, exercised here for generations) and its small obsolete but charming temples. Lunch during the visit. Then discover the small and quiet Xizhou village. We suggest you to spend the night in a superb and very comfortable traditional house in local Bai style.
    Then take a local ox-driven cart to access your small boat for a cruise on the large Erhai lake, and a traditional fishing party with the cormorants. Return to the hotel. Small ceremony of traditional tea (three teas ceremony). Free dinner at the hotel restaurant.

  • Day 3
    Xizhou - Shaxi
    (3 hours of road. Altitude : 2050m)
    Visit the morning market of Xizhou not far from your hotel. Morning road to Shaxi. Lunch of local specialties at your arrival in a beautiful familial home in a small secluded village surrounded by rice fields. In the afternoon, discovery of the Shibaoshan Mountain, a superb whole Buddhist sculptures engraved in rock and very peaceful temples. After the visit, possible descent by foot by a small path leading to the old town of Shaxi, if not by vehicle. Accommodation in the heart of the old town of Shaxi in an ancient caravanserai superbly reaccomodated with all the necessary comfort, which have formerly been useful to accommodate the merchants borrowing the main tea caravan road and the horses in which Shaxi has been one of the great commercial exchanging center. Free dinner at the very tasty hotel’s restaurant.

  • Day 4
    Shaxi - Lijiang
    (3 hours of road. Altitude : 2300m)
     
    In the morning, road to the main valley of Lijiang, with along the way a stop in the old town of Jianchuan, still unknown. Arrival for lunch in the heart of the old town of Lijiang. Lunch taken in a Naxi family’s minority in the Yuhu small village, located at the foot of the Jade Mountain’s dragon (summit at 5600m). Visit in the afternoon through the small village of Baisha, and meeting with the locally famous Doctor Ho, specialty of medicinal plants (possible consultation!). Also discover the small Puji temple, isolated, offering great views of the Lijiang valley. First discoveries of the old town of Lijiang. Accommodation in a charming little hotel in the heart of the old town, in a still quiet area. Free dinner.

  • Day 5
    Lijiang
    Discovery by foot in the morning of the old town of Lijiang, starting with Lion hill, offering beautiful views of all Lijiang with 360°, then a descent to the Mu palace, a former ruling family on the prosperous Lijiang area. Visit the Lijiang market. Lunch in the old town. Also discoverery in the afternoon at the Black Dragon pond park, located just outside the old town. Free time remaining for an individual discovery of this charming old town. Free dinner.

  • Day 6
    Lijiang - Zhongdian
    Today’s program: look out further for the first turn of the Changjiang, Shigu Pier, and Tiger Leaping Gorges. Our guide and driver will take you from Lijiang to Zhongdian.
    Look further for the first turn of the Changjiang : surrounded by rivers and mountains, with an altitude of 1850 meters above the sea level, the first bay of the Yangtze has a picturesque landscape. In addition, it is an important ferry that the joints inside and the old route to trade tea and horses in Tibet.
    Shigu pier: located 68 km away west of Shigu next to the Jisha River which is a part of the Yangtze River. The Shigu pier has become an important place for a very long time.
    Tiger Leaping Gorges : one of the four great gorges of the world - It is located in the village of Hutiaoxia and in the Zhongdian county and honored as one of the deepest and marvelous gorges in the world .
    Back to the pier. Road to Giang Mo. Dinner and overnight in homestay.

  • Day 7
    Zhongdian
    Today’s program: Songzanlin temple, visit of a Tibetan family in campfire in their home.
    Songzanlin temple: it is the largest Tibetan Buddhist lamasery in Yunnan Province. In Shangri, many Tibetans live there. Covering an area of 33.3 hectares, the Songzanlin lamasery was built in the style of the Potala Palace in Lhasa and represents the Tibetan culture. The statue of Buddhists and many precious cultural treasures will leave you with an unforgettable memory.
    Visit to a Tibetan family which allows to experiment the life of the local Tibetan people, you will be greeted with a Tibetan tea and local snacks.

  • Day 8
    Zhongdian – Flight to Kunming – Jianshui
    Today’s program : Transport from the hotel to the airport (Zhongdian), Kunming Hand Workshop, Stone forest. Our guide and driver will take you from Kunming to Jianshui.
    Stone’s forest hotel Chinese restaurant: located inside the Stone’s forest landscape area, the restaurant is famous for the Stone forest lacquered duck. Stone forest: located at 90 km away from the city of Kunming, Stone forest is a place representative of Karst. The stones from different styles are shaped by the rain and wind erosion. The region where Stone forest is located is a Sani’s agglomeration, their dance and suit give you an unforgettable impression.

  • Day 9
    Jianshui - Yuanyang
    (3 hours of road)
     
    Breakfast at the hotel. Stroll by foot this morning through the old town of Jianshui, particularly until Chaoyang’s big gate which shelters a small birds market.
    Then go to the Confucius temple, which is the second biggest temple in China, after the Qufu one, the native city of the master.
    The whole is constituted of a large park with pond, several courtyards, beautiful porticos, temples and pavilions. Lunch in the old town. Drive to Yuanyang (3 hours). Crossing the red river (Honghe) before climbing to the old town of Yuanyang, located at the top of the Ailao Mountains.
    Installation at the Yunti hotel 3* in the heart of the old city. If the weather allows it (weather and "timing"), sunset at the site of Bada or Laohuzui. Free dinner.

  • Day 10
    Yuanyang
    (2 hours of road)
     
    After breakfast, departure to one of the small villages of the Yuanyang region to attend a market (fixed according to a lunar schedule and the day of the week).
    Meeting with different minorities, including the Yi, Hani and Dai. Going on until a small village where a singing and dancing show has been set up by the villagers belonging to the Yi minority. Charming and touching… Note that the benefits of the show will be directly reserved to the families. A lunch will be served by one of the family who participated at the show. In the afternoon, from 2 to 3 hours of hiking through amazing terraced rice fields landscapes, and small villages. You will also visit Jingkou’s village, where a small museum has been opened and explains the traditions of the Hani minority. Sunset on the terraced ricefields in either Bada or Laohuzui site. Free dinner. Overnight at the hotel.

  • Day 11
    Yuanyang – Hekou. End of the trip
    (5 to 6 hours of road)
     
    Breakfast at the hotel. Visit in another market of minority in the Yuanyang region, then long road to Hekou, a city located at the boundary with Vietnam and the city of Lao Cai. Simple lunch along the way. Passing the boundary. Free dinner.

Bonjour Monsieur Tony DUONG,

Nous venions vous remercier pour ce beau voyage au Vietnam qui s'est bien passé grâce à vous pour l'élaboration du circuit, et grâce à vos guides à nos côtés pour les visites.
Notre guide à Hanoï était trés compétente et trés professionnelle, et nous a accompagné jusqu'à l'aéroport pour Hué.

 

Puis nous avons rencontré notre Guide HUE à Hue qui nous a agréablement surpris par sa maitrise de la langue française, sa compétence professionnelle, son humour, nous l'avons beaucoup appréciée, elle a toujours été à l'écoute de ce que nous souhaitions.

Les chauffeurs aussi ont été parfaits et les véhicules confortables et en bon état.

Nous avons particulièrement aimé les derniers jours à Hoi-An où nous avons découvert des petits villages, fait du vélo ... avec notre guide.

La seule chose que nous regrettons un peu est le côté trop touristique de la baie d'Along, il y avait beaucoup de monde et deux personnes de notre famille ont été malades aprés le premier repas pris sur le bateau (problème alimentaire ???).

Cela a un peu gâché les deux jours. Nous pensons qu'il vaudrait peut-être mieux proposer un circuit sur une partie de la baie moins touristique.

En conclusion, nous avons pu voir beaucoup de choses en peu de temps et cela grâce à votre organisation sans faille, et aux bons guides et chauffeurs.

Merci pour tout. À noter, les hôtels de qualité, toujours bien placés. Les repas étaient toujours dans des endroits superbes, surtout le repas d'accueil le premier soir à Hanoï ...Nous avons bien apprécié la formule demi-pension nous laissant libres le soir. Nous ne manquerons pas de recommander votre agence à des amis ou des proches.

Tel que demandé, il me fait plaisir de vous transmettre en mon nom et celui de ANNE toutes notre appréciations pour notre récent voyage au Vietnam. Nous avons adoré presque toutes les régions. Chaque endroit avait sa particularité, soit les montagnes avec les rizières, le baie d'Halong, les visites culturelles, les ethnies etc. Sans oublier la belle ile de Phu Quoc. La logistique fût excellente; il n'y a eu aucun retard. Nous fûmes reçu d'une façon très chaleureuse partout. Mais notre plus grande découvertes est le peuple Vietnamien, accueillant, chaleureux et toujours souriant, même si parfois certains vivent dans des conditions difficiles. En terminan, nous croyons que votre atout principal pour supporter toute la logistique du voyage est la compétences de vos guides. Ils étaient très connaissant de la culture Vietnamienne et professionnels dans leur travail tout en gardant une belle simplicité. Pour nous ils étaient comme des amis. Si possible leur dire que nous pensons à eux.(Vy, Kinh, Thang, Joseph.

 

Concernant les photos, je vais vous en faire parvenir lors d'un prochain email. J'ai eu un problème avec mon logiciel mais le tout devrait être corrigé bientôt.
