  • Day 1
    Arrival at Hanoi
    Hanoi, or its historical name entitled "Thang Long" which means "dragon in flight", was the main feudal capital of the country for hundreds of years, from the Ly Dynasty (in the 11th century) to the Dynasty of Le posterior (at the end of the 17th century). That is why until now the city of Hanoi still keeps the historical monuments, traditional and typical of the Vietnamese culture and the immortal values of the mind of the Hanoi’s people.

    Arrival at Noi Bai airport. Transfer to the hotel. Visit of Hanoi "The city located on the Red River". Walk in the residential area where are the former Palace of the Governor General of Indochina, the house and the mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh, the single pillar pagoda. Then the temple of Mount Jade, ride rickshaw in the old district guilds.

  • Day 2
    Hanoi – Perfume pagoda – Hoa Binh
     Departure for the perfume pagoda, one of the most beautiful sites of Vietnam. On the side of a limestone mountain are perched pagodas and temples whose architecture blends perfectly with a very lush nature. Depending on the itinerary, from the pier, a paddling sampan takes you to the Yen River in 1 hour at the foot of the Perfume Mountain, but according to the rules of the pilgrimage, you have to make a stop at temple of the Presentations to ask the genius-guardian of the places permission to continue the journey. Then it will take you 3 hours to climb up the stairs and reach the pagoda of the Scented Footprint, a huge cave where stalactites and stalagmites form candelabra and altars. Lunch on the spot.

  • Day 3
    Hoa Binh – Mai Chau
    Road towards Mai Chau. Crossed beautiful landscapes: beautiful valleys carved by rice terraces, and meetings of Thai black and white. Lunch and dinner at the inhabitants. In the evening: dance performance and tasting of Can - a kind of local alcohol made from rice. Enjoy a warm and friendly atmosphere.

    Mai Chau – XA Linh – Hang Kia
    After breakfast, walk 7 km to Ban Lake village at Tong Dau junction. Take the car to reach the village of Xa Linh (about 25 km). Walk 3 km to the altitude of 1000m, before arriving at the village of Xa Linh, the cradle of the ethnic Hmong where you have a good lunch. You take paths frequented by the local population that you will crouserez throughout your walking route. These beautiful, colorful encounters in this postcard landscape will make this hike unforgettable. Arrival in Hang Kia village, 7 km from Xa Linh, you stay in a typical H'mong house, a traditional long house.

    Hang Kia – Cun Pheo
    After breakfast, start hiking, leaving the trails to venture into the rainforest and down to the Mai Chau Valley. After 10 km of hiking, rest for lunch - picnic. After resting at Cun Pheo, continue your walk to Van village (5 km from Cun Pheo).

  • Day 6
    Vam – Xam Khoe – Mai Chau
    Homestay breakfast, then hike 8 km to reach the village Xam Khoe. Walk in the middle of the rice fields. Lunch at Thai minority villages. Originators of southern China, they settled on the fertile banks of the rivers of the North - West and worship the spirits according to the animist rite.

    Return to Maichau, dinner and night at the village of Lac Maichau.

  • Day 7
    Mai Chau – Hoa Lu – Tam Coc
    Departure for Hoa Lu, one of the ancient capitals of Vietnam in the 10th century. Visit of the commemorative temples dedicated to Kings Dinh and Le. Then climb the steps that climb to the top of Mount Ma Yen where we kiss the site. Up there rests King Dinh whose oldest royal burial preserved in Vietnam. Road to Tam Coc, the course is beautiful in an amazing setting of hills and karst peaks where appear and disappear a small river.

    After a 3-hour boat trip on the Ngo Dong River that winds between karst hills and rice fields in a wonderful landscape "Bay Ha Long on Land". Walk east to Bich Dong, the Jade cave which is a beautiful half-built temple, half-carved on the side of the hills (It was here the filming of the film Indochina).

  • Day 8
    Tam Coc – Hai Phong
    Departure for Phat Diem, the most beautiful cathedral of the country built in 1891 of Sino-Vietnamese style, very remarkable for its materials (marble, granite and wood). Lunch along the way. Continue to Hai Phong via Nam Dinh, Thai Binh. A short stop at Keo Pagoda in the middle of the countryside. It is built in the 17th century. It is simple, ample and rustic; but it is remarkable with its bell tower, an impressive wooden structure.

    Arrival at Hai Phong, the French colonial style city well known for its flamboyant streets and avenues. Visit the Du Hang Pagoda.

    Hai Phong – Cat Ba Island
    After breakfast, departure by ferry boat to Cat Ba Island. Cat Ba National Park encompasses evergreen tree forests on 331 m elevations, wet forests at the foot of hills and coastal mangroves, plus numerous small freshwater lakes, beaches and sand and coral reefs offshore. It is inhabited by 28 species of mammals, 37 species of birds, 20 species of reptiles and 200 species of fish. You will also find a tree of a rare species "trees with chopsticks". It is so named because its wood, responsive to food poisons, was used to make baguettes used in court, eternal field of intrigues.

    Arrival and visit of this natural park Cat Ba. Lunch and dinner in town. Night at the hotel.

    Cat Ba Island - Halong
    In the morning visit the fishing port and Cat Ba fish market. Then take the ferry boat to Halong Bay. You change from traditional junk and unforgettable cruise on the bay of Ha long "8th Wonder of the World" with its thousands of islands, islets that emerge from the water taking fantastic forms. Explore Halong Bay on the Oriental Sails Cruise - one of the best 3-star cruises in Halong Bay.

    08:00 - 08:30 Departure in 3.5 hours at Hon Gai International Port, visit the private waiting room of Oriental Sails JSC - The OS Lounge.
    12h30 - 13h00 Welcome aboard, embark on oriental sails followed by a cruise briefing.
    13:00 - 15:30 Enjoy local seafood while Eastern Sails sail along the limestone islands of Bai Tu Long Bay.
    15:30 - 16:30 Visit of the fishing village

    They are interested in local daily life: Take a trip by wooden oar boat (about 45 minutes) around the fishing village of Vung Vieng - one of the largest fishing villages in Halong Bay to see the life of local fishermen. The village is located in a closed lagoon, surrounded by mountains, excellent facilities for good photos. It is a chance to know better the daily life of the fishermen of the village. After the visit, you can swim around the boat.

    16h30 - 17h30 Come back to Les Voiles Orientales and get some rest while the sun begins to set.
    17:30 - 19:00 Enjoy Happy Hour at the bar and on the solarium and join our cooking class with Oriental Sails Chef

    Halong - Hanoï
    06h30 - 07h00 Start your day with a Tai Chi exercise on the terrace.
    07h00 - 09h00 Catch the morning view on the seascapes with a cup of tea or coffee, have breakfast cruise to Thien Canh Son Cave.
    09:00 - 09:30 Visit Thien Canh Son Cave - the medium-sized and less visited cave in Bai Tu Long Bay
    09h30 - 10h00 Restitution of the cabins. Luggage can be delivered to reception.
    10:00 - 11:00 Return to the port. Have lunch on board.
    12:00 pm: Landing of the eastern sails

    Route for Ha Noi. Then stop at the artisan village of ceramics and porcelain Dong Trieu.

    Arrival in Hanoi. Dinner and night at the hotel. In the evening: puppet shows on the water.

    Hanoï – Ba Be
    Departure by road for Ba Be through the mountainous regions of Tonkin. Stunning wild mountain scenery with terraced rice paddies, bamboo paddlewheels on both river banks. Lunch en route, then arrive at Cho Ra. Boat trip on the Nang River, which winds its way into a cultivated countryside before entering a landscape of Ba Be limestone cliffs, on the flanks of which hang small wild gardens from which lianas and long roots in search of earth hang. . Sometimes earthy mounds are swallowed by the jungle, stained with blood-red cannas, marbled with silvery trunks, and old trees twist to lean over the river. The other attraction of navigation is the spectacle of fishing. Nasses line the course of the river, men throw the sparrowhawk, others hit the rocky banks to dislodge tiny shrimps. We enter the Puong cave-tunnel bank. The river runs only on one side, leaving a bank to admire on foot the stalactites of this avenue. Boat trip in the enchanting scenery of Ba Be Lake; the lake "of the three seas" which stretches for 9 km long and a width of 100 to 1800 m, is at 145 m above sea level. It is at the end of 3 valleys that meet in an arc. Ba Be is not only a site for the imaginative, but also for nature lovers. Nearly forty species of mammals live there, as well as over a hundred species of birds and many butterflies.

    Visit Dau Dang waterfalls. Then continue boat to the village Pac Ngoi des Tay located not far from the lake on the hillside. The Tays who settled there live from fishing, rice growing and maize. Their houses on stilts, with thatched roof, pleasantly decorate the austere surrounding landscapes.

    Ba Be – Hanoï – Return flight
    After breakfast at home, walk to the village of Pac Ngoi des Tay. Then departure by road to visit a beautiful cave Hua Ma located 7 km from the lake. Continuation of road to Hanoi. Stops at pleasure to extend the legs, take pictures, or make contact with the villagers. Lunch along the way. Arrival and transfer to Noi Bai airport and return flight. End of the trip
