    Bangkok – Khorat – Burinam – Surin
    Visit of the Prasat Phimai as well as the archaeological museum of Phimai. Go on towards Nagrong’s district and visit of the majestic Prasat Khao Phanom Rung (also a Khmer temple built in the 12th century) located at the top of a volcano. Then you will go to Surin, high-place of the same name’s province, famous for its Khmer ruins.

    Surin – Ubon Rachathani – Khong Jiam
    Departure to Sikhoraphum and visit of the Khmer temple built in bricks and sandstone. Go on to Si Saket and visit of the Sra Kamphaeng Yai temple. Discovery of the majestic Preah Vihear located at the edge of a cliff on the Cambodian side (no visa required). Continue of the road towards Khong Jiam, a city situated at the Mekong edge.

    Khong Jiam
    After breakfast, you will visit the historical park of Pha Taem having a view on the Mekong river. The ancient paintings located here have between 5 000 and 7 000 years old, and represent giant fishs, elephants and others.

    Khong Jiam – Mukdahan – Nakhon Phanom
    Road to Mukdahan. Free time at the Indochina’s market. Discovery of the Wat Phra That Phanom. Arrival at the end of the afternoon at Nakhon Phanom.

    Nakhon Phanom
    In the morning, start your day with a stroll in the center of the city near the former clock’s tower. The local population says that it was a gift from Ho Chi Minh president back in the 1950s. Continue to visit the the old house of Ho Chi Minh. There is a large population of Vietnamese origin in Nakhon Phanom. You will be making a stroll by feet to the city center of Nakorn Phanom with your guide and visit the Wat Yai Pra before making a boat stroll on the Mekong to see beautiful landscapes of Laos and Thailand. Back to your hotel and take a time for your own leisure and relaxing.

    Nakhon – Sakon Nakhorn – Udon Thani
    Road towards Sakon Nakhorn located at the edge of Nong Harn lake. Visit of the Wat Phra That Choeng Chum followed by the Phra That Narai Cheng Weng, a site of Khmer inspiration. Continue to Baan Chiang, archaeological site of an ancient civilization of more than 3000 years (classified at the UNESCO). Arrival in Udon Thani in the late afternoon.

    Udon Thani – Loei - Phitsanulok
    Departure to Phu Phra Bat, a historic park which has been the site of ancient prehistoric civilizations. Small hiking in the park which is located in a forest. Continue to Loei. Arrival at the end of the afternoon in Phitsanulok.

    Phitsanulok – Sukhothai – Lampang
    Visit of the Wat Phra Sri Rattana Ma and the Buddha Chinaraj. Discovery of the center of manufacture of main statues of Buddha according to the traditionnal method lost wax. Drive to Sukhotai Historical Park. Visit Wat Mahathat and Wat Sri Chum. Depart for Lampang to visit Wat Phra Lampang Luang.

    Lampang – Phayao – Chiang Rai
    Visit of Baan Saonak, ancient maison in traditional wood built in 1895. Go on with short breaks along the way to discover a pineapple field, then the Phayao lake which is the largest fishing center in northern Thailand. Arrival in Chiang Rai. Visit of a reconstituted village looking like the different ethnicities of the north : Akkhas, Yao, Lahu. Continue the road towards the famous Golden Triangle. Arrival in Chaing Saen. Discovery of the opium museum. Back to Chiang Ra.

    Discovery of Wat Phra Keo. Stroll on the market and then excursion in canoe on the Kok river to join the tribe of Tibeto-Burman origin. Go on towards Chiang Mai with a break along the way to discover a hot water source.

    Chiang Mai – Mok Fah waterfall – Karen village
    At 7.00am, you will leave from your hotel to Chiang Mai for a first step at the local market of Mae Malai. Meeting with flowers mercants, fruits and vegetables. Go on to the Mok Fha falls where you will be able to enjoy of a moment of relaxation and bathe. Lunch at Baan Pang Lun. Road towards the Shan village of Baan Mae Sae (2 hour and 30 minutes hiking) towards Karen village of Baan Mae Jok. Meeting and exchanges with the inhabitants. Overnight at the homestay (summary comfort).

    After having breakfast at the departure village for a 3 hour hiking towards the elephants camp. Departure for a 1 hour and 30 minutes stroll on elephant’s back through the trails and streams of the village of the White Karen. Arrival at the Bann Pang Khao Lam village. Overnight at the village (summary comfort).

    In the morning, you will make a 3 hour bamboo rafting on the Mae Tang river. Lunch in a lodge. Continue with a 2 hour trek towards a village of the Akha tribe. Overnight at the village.

    After breakfast, 1 hour hiking towards a Shan village. Then transfer in a local truck to Chiang Mai until your hotel. Overnight.

    Chiang Mai – Chiang Khong – Hueixay
    From Chiang Khong, take a car to Hueixay – to obtain the Laos’ visa through this post. Arrival in Houeixay. Hosted by our english-speaking Laotian guide, you are transferred to the hotel. Free time for your installation. Visit this isolated village at the northwest of Laos and Wat ChomKhao Manilat : this prosperous monastery overlooks the city and the river. Built in 1880, the teak temple, shan style, shelters a stele dating from 1485 offered by an ancient prince of Chiang Khong. Visit of the Lantern ethnicity villages in the surrounding villages. Overnight at the hotel.

    Hueixay – Cruise on the Mekong – Pakbeng
    You will embark on a junk for a cruise on the Mekong river. Have a break to visit the ethnic minorities villages : Hmong, Yao and Khmu. Visit of the local market in Pakheng. Lunch along the way. Overnight in Pakbeng.

    Pakbeng – Pak Ou – Luang Prabang
    We will walk around the Mekong river, which gives also a good review of the peaceful countryside as well as an interesting visit to the mysterious caverns of Pak Ou, stuffed of the thousands gold-lacquered Buddha statues and various shapes and sizes. Along the way, we stop at the village of Ban Xang Hai, where they make the local rice wine. Upon arrival in Luang Prabang, transfer to Ancient Luang Prabang hotel. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

  • Day 19
    Luang Prabang – Visit of the city
    Capital of the Lane Xang kingdom until the middle of the 15th century, Luang Prabang will amaze you with its many temples, its enchanting setting on the banks of the Mekong River, its peaceful life pace, its colonial style buildings, or the Phousi Mount. This visit begins by the discovering of the Royal Palace, today reconverted into a National Museum where you will admira the Pra Bang, Golden buddha who has given its name to the city, the attributes of the royal power, bronze drums etc. Go on with the Vat Mai, temple reputated for its golden bas-reliefs counting the life of one of the Buddha’s reincarnations. It is in this monastery that is exposed the picture of Prabang at the occasion of the Pimai’s festivities, Lao new year’s eve. Then the Vat Sene, whose golden facade instantly attracts attention, finally we are going to admire the splendor of the Vat Xieng Thong, richly ornamented and situated at the confluence of the Nam Khan and the Mekong. Breakfast in a local restaurant. The afternoon, you will visit the Vat Visoun, perfectly rebuilt according to the sketches of Delaporte following the invasion, the looting and destruction of the city in 1887 by the "Pavilions Noirs", pirates coming from the South of China. We are also visiting the Vat Aham just next to, where is located the altar of the two principal spirits of Luang Prabang and the Vat That, where the ashes of King Sisavang Vong are enclosed in the great central reliquary. Overnight at the hotel.
    Special : At the end of the day, you will participate in a “Baci”. Mix of animism and Buddhism, this ceremony is specific to Laos : it is made to “recall its spirits” to the one who invokes it before accomplishing an important task or living a major event (birth, wedding, travel etc.) (Only the ceremony, no traditional dance).

  • Day 20
    Luang Prabang – Kuang Si falls
    Optional : very early in the morning, at sunrise, observe the long lines of Bonzes which come out of their pagoda and walk in the streets to receive food offerings from the faithfuls. A unique show which takes places every day of the year.
    After breakfast, excursion to the Kuang Si falls. Have a break in two ethnic villages along the way. Possibility of bathing on site (bring a swimsuit and a towel). Then we will climb trying to reach out the summit for a pleasant exploration of the sacred golden stupa as well as the magnificent sunset over the city and the Mekong. From here, we will explore the night market where you will be able to find a nice collection of handmade textiles by local and mountain tribes living around Luang Prabang. Overnight at hotel in Luang Prabang. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

    Luang Prabang – Stroll on an elephant’s back
    Half-day experience on an elephant’s back. After breakfast, go to the elephant’s park and elephant’s village, located at 15 km away in the south of the city in the tropical forest. Here, one hour stroll on elephants’ back through the beautiful scenery and the river’s valley of Nam Khane. Then you will embark on a boat towards Tad Sae’s fall. There, you will be able to relax for a while in the freshness of the waterfalls. Back to the elephant’s village, then transfer to Luang Prabang. Free afternoon (no service required).

Bonjour Tina,
Nous voilà bien rentrés - depuis une semaine -  de notre voyage au Vietnam/Siem Reap, avec beaucoup de belles images dans la tête et nous voulons vous remercier pour l'organisation de ce voyage.
Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la diversité de ce que nous avons pu voir et des expériences vécues, durant nos différentes étapes: les sites, les monuments, les visites culturelles, les populations, la cuisine. Nous aimons partager tout cela avec nos amis à présent.
Coté "logistique", tout s'est bien passé aussi: les guides étaient intéressants et à l'écoute, dans des styles différents, les voitures étaient confortables et les chauffeurs ponctuels et efficaces.
Nous avons aussi bien mangé dans l'ensemble et aimé la cuisine vietnamienne. Quant aux hôtels, ils étaient pour la plupart conformes à nos attentes et confortables. Pour celui de Hoi An,remplaçant l’hôtel prévu, pour préciser mon  mail précédent, la chambre était correcte, soyez rassurée. C'est le petit déjeuner qui nous a "étonné", car nous n'avions encore jamais vu cela dans nos voyages: il fallait choisir un seul item dans une petite carte très réduite et en outre, nous avons dû attendre une demie heure l’omelette que nous avions commandée alors que nous étions les seuls clients présents...
Mais c'est un désagrément vraiment minime par rapport à l'ensemble du séjour chez vous !
Nous avons aussi apprécié votre réactivité lorsqu'il a fallu changer quelques points du programme.
Au total donc une belle expérience !

Tout d’abord merci pour cette très bonne organisation de notre voyage madame VU a toujours été à notre écoute avant et pendant notre séjour.
 
 
Concernant les points forts
 
1/ hôtellerie de très bonne qualité nous avons été surclassé quatre fois, au sylverland où on nous a proposés le dernier jour une suite , au famiana de Phu Quoc où nous avions une villa front beach ,au classy superbe suite et à la résidence wat boo .
 
A noter les hôtels suivants pour vos clients français :
La résidence watboo a siem reap
Le Grace boutique hôtel a mui ne
Famiana à Phu Quoc mais il faut une villa front beach pour éviter les nombreux russes Le silverland . trés bon hôtel nous avons sympathisé avec M VU KHAC DUY . exécutive assistant manager et nous recommandons cet hotel .
 
Il faut éviter l ‘arnaque de coucher chez l ‘habitant (du moins cette adresse.)
 
2/ Guides :
A anchor le guide exceptionnel très grande culture très serviable au top .
Entre siem reap et Phnom Penh le guide un peu limite à Phnom Penh très bon guide bonne qualité bonne culture serviable .
 
À Saigon et sur le trajet Mékong madame Lan n ‘est pas très professionnelle et peut être un peu dépassée.
nous avons vu le dernier jour plus de bâtiments autour de l hôtel qu’avec elle elle n ‘a pas de culture sur l ‘histoire les musées fait au pas de course c ‘est dommage nous étions en permanence à lui poser des questions souvent évacuées .
Sur le Mékong le Cochinchine très bon guide qui s est très occupé de nous très bonnes explications très belles balades visite à recommander à vos clients.
 
3/ voitures et chauffeurs toutes les voitures à compter du deuxième jour superbes chauffeurs très professionnels .
Merci encore nous ne manquerons pas de vous recommander auprès de nos relations

Je suis né à Hanoï d’un père militaire français qui a « fait l’Indo ».
J’ai voulu faire découvrir le Vietnam à mes 2 filles étudiantes sous l’angle « nature et culture » mais surtout leur faire rencontrer des gens authentiques et découvrir leur vie de tous les jours.
 
Plus que les traditions, l’histoire et les paysages, ce sont les Vietnamiens eux-mêmes qui sont la vraie richesse de ce pays, que j’avais déjà visité il y a une dizaine d’années.
J’ai donc choisi un opérateur local et Mandarin Road et leur programme a totalement répondu à mes demandes, parfois très personnalisées, notamment avec les séjours et les repas chez l’habitant.
On a ri, on a chanté, on a connu de grands moments de joie.

  Nous tenions à vous féliciter pour l’organisation de notre séjour en Thaïlande « Charmes de la Thaïlande »
 
Des vacances au cours desquelles vous avez su faire preuve de maitrise et de professionnalisme, autant l’accueil a l’arrivée a l’aéroport de Bangkok, le choix de l’hôtel, la qualité et l’exactitude horaire des différents transferts.
Tout cela nous a permis d’apprécier pleinement la découverte de la Thaïlande en toute sérénité. C’était notre premier voyage en Asie et nous redoutions car de plus nous ne parlons pas l’anglais et évidemment pas le thaï.
