Central Vietnam tourism booming

Center tourism booming
 
On the occasion of Tet, many tourists and locals visited the sites and beautiful landscapes of the Center region, helping to create a boom for the region's tourism sector in 2019.
 

During the nine days of the Tet holiday, the Hue heritage site welcomed 158,000 tourists, including more than 50,000 foreigners. They were particularly numerous from February 5 to 7, the first three days of the lunar year, to take advantage of the free entrance to the old imperial citadel. On this occasion, many activities were organized: court games, calligraphic and martial arts demonstrations, music concerts, dragon dances, lions and unicorns.
 
During the Lunar New Year holidays from February 2 to 10, the coastal city of Dà Nang welcomed nearly 70,000 international tourists by air, an increase of 70% year-on-year.
 
At the same time, Dà Nang welcomed the ships Superstar Virgo and Costa Atlantica, which anchored at the port of Tien Sa, with more than 3,900 cruise passengers from Northeast Asia on board. International arrivals come mainly from China, Japan, the Republic of Korea, the United States and the European Union (EU).
 
The favorite sites of the visitors are the Cham sculpture museum, the Ba Na Hills tourist area, the Dà Nang museum, the Thân Tai thermal area, Sun World Dà Nang ...

Several direct airlines were operated in 2019 such as Incheon - Da Nang (Vietjet Air), Busan - Da Nang (Korean Air), Daegu - Da Nang (Vietjet, Jeju Air), Osaka - Da Nang (Vietnam Airlines), Bangkok - Dà Nang (Thai Vietjet Air), Doha - Dà Nang (Qatar Airways) ... And to add that the new line Dà Nang - Cân Tho was inaugurated on January 31 by Vietnam Airlines with seven weekly flights, helping to increase the number of tourists in Dà Nang.
 
In addition, tourist attractions in the Central Region such as Huong Tich Pagoda, Dông Lôc Crossroads in Hà Tinh Province, Thiên Duong Cave, and General Vo Nguyên Giap's Tomb in Quang Dông Commune, Quang Trach District, Quang Binh Province (Center).
 
This year, the province of Thua Thiên-Hue aims between 4.5 and 4.7 million tourists, an increase of 8% compared to 2018, and 4.700-4.9 trillion dinars of tourist receipts.
 
Da Nang, for its part, wants to welcome 8,19 million tourists in 2019 and obtain a turnover of 27,400 billion dong. According to Nguyên Xuân Binh, deputy director of the Dà Nang Tourism Department, the province is perfecting the city's overall development plan for the tourism sector in 2025 and a 2030 vision.
